Remote Learning
Remote learning at Springhill looks very different depending on the situation, e.g. remote learning for a whole class (similar to that during the recent pandemic) and remote learning when a pupil is unable to attend school for medical reasons or an extenuating circumstance and can still access learning.
Whole class remote learning can be anything from live lessons on Teams to the use of The Oak National Academy lessons, which pupils can access in a more flexible approach. It depends on the situation and length of time of remote learning that is needed that determines the approach the school chooses.
Where a pupil can not attend due to medical grounds etc, we will set Oak National Academy learning and will often supplement this with other bits of work if the absence is ongoing. If a child is in hospital, we will work with the Hospital School to ensure the child's academic needs are met.
