Faith in Action Award

Every year, our year 6 pupils can opt to take part in the Faith in Action Award. 

This award compliments the Mini-Vinnies approach as children complete 20 hours of service as well as having some prayer sessions and completing a final task. Their work is then sent off to the Faith in Action team at the diocese and they awarded with the pin level badge. 

This year, we have 30 children participating in the Faith in Action award. Some of the tasks they take part in to accrue their 20 hours of service are:

Leading school masses;

Leading Celebration of the Word sessions;

Altar serving, reading or singing at mass at church;

Litter picking,

Putting on a talent show for the elderly at the local care home;

Completing bake sales for charities;

Making bug hotels for forest school.
